The Wellington Vegetarian Food & Lifestyle Festival has morphed into VegFest! 

VegFest 2013 was an outdoor feast of music, sunshine, inspiration and food. In the course of the day, thousands of people came by to enjoy local bands, entertainers, stalls, speakers, cooking demonstrations, appealing veg food, dairy-free ice-creams, and more ... Highlights included the veg pie stall (which sold out by lunchtime), dairy-free ice-creams, local beers, vegan wine, veg burgers, dumplings, and face-painting.  Heritage Hotels' Sous chef Sam Sweenie and assistant Sadark were also on hand to offer tastings of veg haute cuisine! VegFest is a family-friendly community festival that celebrates compassionate and environmentally sustainable plant-based diets.
